That Question is Too Stupid to Answer

But I suppose I'll try anyway. Today's gem comes from Yahoo Answers, which is usually a relatively decent place to find advice on various practical matters. But every so often something like this conspiracy-laden rant slips in, which has so many things wrong with it that it's hard to know where to begin. Of course, said question involves the notorious and dreaded Illuminati. Did you even have to ask?

How many people have experienced the Illuminates witchcraft / demonology? Have you been approached by members of a secret society who worship Satan and or one of the many other demons of the New World Order? Did this Satanic Mafia try to seduce and or force you through methods of torture with witchcraft / demonology to worship their Lord lucifer and or one of their many other demons? Did they use witchcraft to try and force you to worship the Devil along with subversive acts of terrorism? Did this satanic cult use magic to summon the dead to attack you while you slept?

Well, let's see. I'm a Freemason and a member of Ordo Templi Orientis, both of which I'm sure count to this individual's twisted mind. But I wasn't "seduced" or "tortured" into joining. I know this guy will never believe it, but we don't do that. I've also never been magically attacked, at least not that I've noticed, and never worshipped a devil or demon. I'm a Thelemite - I believe in the existence of both angels and demons but I don't precisely worship anything, at least not in the way that the term "worship" is usually meant in mainstream religions.

I'll also point out that the Illuminati didn't worship anything either. The group founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt was in fact an atheist alternative to fraternal orders such as Freemasonry, the British lineage of which has never allowed atheists to join (though some French lineages do today). The idea, then, that the Illuminati were a bunch of devil-worshippers is ridiculous. Its membership was devoted to Enlightenment ideas like science and reason and completely rejected the existence of both God and the Devil. If a modern Illuminati even existed it would most likely have a philosophy similar to that of James Randi's CSICOP, highly skeptical about anything occult or paranormal.

The Illuminati has placed occult material into society in the form of games and or practices to spiritually enslave society. These practices are strictly forbidden by God, documented in the Bible, and cause spiritual bondage / captivity Revelation 13,10. Many people are unaware of this but are in for an evil surprise. Some of the occult practices include Ouija boards, tarot cards, mirror gazing, even the eight ball with the pyramid in the center, role playing games such as dungeons and dragons and magic art which is the precursor to transcendental mediation which is the method for the secret ceremony used to enslave society. The list is endless and these are but a few.

So did you catch the big laugh in there? The Magic 8-Ball is Satanic! Clearly the one I had as a child must have started me down the dark path. I'll also add that role-playing games have as much to do with transcendental meditation as basket-weaving does with computer programming - that is, absolutely nothing. Here I thought Dungeons and Dragons was supposed to be evil because magic and demons were part of the game. My mistake! At any rate, the extreme Christian viewpoint that anything imaginative and/or fun must by necessity be of the Devil is completely bewildering to me. It's no wonder that so many children raised this way go on to reject their parents' beliefs - it really is no way to live a rewarding and fulfilling life.

At any rate, I know the truth about the Illuminati and so do longtime readers of this blog. We'll know in less than a year now whether it's for real or just another devious smokescreen perpetrated by these masters of evil.

I think the Illuminati might as well. I always thought Basement Cat looked like exactly the sort who would join a secret occult order and then distribute Magic 8-Balls for all.
