Here is the video of Tuesday's Ritual Night Talk, on astrological magick. The chart victor calculation link is here, the simple electional timing link is here, and the donation link is here.
Historically the Western magical tradition has consisted of ritual magick, alchemy, and astrology. Astrological considerations are important in any sort of magical work, and help to optimize your results. Chart victors and electional timing are two key concepts to integrate into your operations. It's not that you can't cast a successful spell without paying attention to the astrology, but rather that if the "astrological weather" is going your way, your spells will be that much more effective.
Enjoy!
Is it possible that in planetary hour of planetary Day for example Mercury would not work well in that exact hour but on some subsequent hour?
ReplyDeleteIt is possible, but unlikely, that a planetary operation could work better in what is technically the "wrong" planetary hour if there's an especially good election for the planet in that hour. But usually you are going to do better to stick with the appropriate hour.
ReplyDeleteHi what is the book you recommend on Planetary magic
ReplyDeleteMuch of the planetary magick I do is based on my own work over the years, plus some bits and pieces I picked up directly from other practitioners. Much of that material can be found here on the blog.
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a published book that's decent, Planetary Magick by Denning and Phillips is pretty good.

Some of the structure of the elixir rites was adapted from there. As a Thelemite, though, I'll add that I use Thelemic ritual forms instead of the Aurum Solis versions that you'll find in the book.
