It's that time of year again! This post will remain the top article here for the duration of the Thelemic High Holy Days, from March 20th to April 10th. The Rite of the Office of the Readings is performed for all of the readings following The Invocation of Horus on March 20th. It may also be used with The Prologue of the Unborn on March 19th at your own discretion. We've done it both ways over the years.

I wanted to thank you for this post. I didn't do the ritual proper, but I have done the daily readings and I greatly enjoyed them. They included some of the more obscure works of Crowley that I'm now going to have to put in the effort to track down, as I'd like to read the whole.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! The readings include some selections that don't get quoted or read a lot from Crowley's work, and we've also found that organizing them in this way provides some further insight into their deeper meanings.
ReplyDeleteI found the pairing of Thelemic readings with other readings really interesting. Like you say about organizing them, together I got some insight I didn't see otherwise. I was familiar with some of the non-Crowley works, in some cases extremely familiar, but having them right after put them in a different light.
