Ritual Night Talk for December 8th

Here is the video of last night's Ritual Night Talk with more on magical metaphysics. The donation link is here.

This is Part Three of the conversation that I started on November 17th. It addresses some additional questions that came up in response to the last couple of videos in this series, and some related digressions that take those questions as jumping-off points.

Enjoy!

Another excellent talk.

Do the pentagram and hexagram rituals you do before an evocation put you into a state of gnosis? Seems kind of like it would disrupt the flow of the ritual if I stopped to meditate for 20 minutes right before the summoning.

I'm assuming the middle pillar activates your energy body enough to be effective.

Wait, you can gain the ability to perceive the presence of spirits in everyday life from just doing daily rituals and evocations over time?

I would say no to just the pentagram and hexagram rituals doing that. It more has to do with the preliminary invocation in which you identify yourself with the divine. It goes pretty fast once you are used to the process. But - if you need to pentagram/hexagram and then meditate for 20 minutes to get into the right state, go ahead and try it.

Yes to the Middle Pillar activating the body of light in addition to being part of the preliminary invocation process.

As far as perceiving spirits, yes, that sometimes can happen. It depends on how your psychic sense work and a bunch of other variables that I haven't been able to pin down from practitioner to practitioner.

My point was just that when people talk about "attracting spirits" when they start doing magick, they're just wrong. If anything, magical practice tends to chase spirits away. But it also can tune your psychic senses in a way that you start perceiving them in some fashion where you didn't before, so it seems like there are more of them around. In fact, they're all over the place, pretty much all the time.

Question about electional timing: what would be better, performing a Jupiter operation during the day and hour of Jupiter, but the final aspect is to Saturn.

Or, a positive final aspect on a different day, but still in the hour of Jupiter.

Neither during the void of course moon, naturally.

I have not tested those and compared them to each other, so it is hard for me to say which would work better for sure. Many of the grimoires say that the hour is more important than the day, so if we were going to go by that it would suggest going with hour on a different day with a better final aspect.

@HalcAre

I for one would wait until after Dec 21 for a Jupiter ritual.
